NGC 4914 is an elliptical CD galaxy in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is around 210 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 215,000 light years. Together with NGC 4846 and NGC 4868 it forms the small galaxy group LGG 319.
In the same area of ​​the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4893 , IC 4027 , IC 4077 .

The object was discovered by William Herschel on March 17, 1787 .
