NGC 4914 is an elliptical CD galaxy in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is around 210 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 215,000 light years. Together with NGC 4846 and NGC 4868 it forms the small galaxy group LGG 319.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4893 , IC 4027 , IC 4077 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on March 17, 1787 .
