NGC 4931 is a 13.4 mag bright lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is an estimated 244 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is considered a member of the Coma galaxy cluster Abell 1656 .
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4929 , NGC 4934 , IC 4106 , IC 4111 .

The object was discovered on May 10, 1863 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
