NGC 4941 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble-type SBab in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is around 46 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 60,000 light years.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 4951 .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on April 24, 1784 .
