NGC 4943 is a 14.6 mag bright galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Haar der Berenike , which is about 251 million light years away from the Milky Way. It belongs to the Coma galaxy cluster and was discovered on April 20, 1865 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
