NGC 4952 is a 12.6 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E4 in the constellation Coma Berenices , which is about 267 million light-years from the Milky Way's center. It belongs to the Coma galaxy cluster and was discovered twice by Wilhelm Herschel with an 18.7-inch reflector telescope; first on March 13, 1785, with the "F, S" noted (observation listed as NGC 4962 ); then again on April 11 of the same year, but without description (and listed as NGC 4952 ).
