NGC 4920 is a 13.5 mag bright irregular galaxy of the type "IBm" (the B stands for bar , a central bar ) in the constellation Virgo.

The object was discovered twice: first in 1882 by Ernst Wilhelm Leberecht Tempel (observation listed as NGC 4920 ); then on April 16, 1895 by Guillaume Bigourdan (listed as IC 4134 ).
