NGC 4911 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Haar der Berenike , which is approximately 357 million light years from the Milky Way . Nearby is another galaxy, for which the number NGC 4911A has been assigned.
The galaxy NGC 4911 was discovered on April 11, 1785 by the German-British astronomer Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel .
