Deaf benefit

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Deaf money is a financial support for people who live in Germany from birth , due to a disease or by an accident deaf are. They use it to cover the additional expenses they incur because of their disability . This includes costs for aids , sign language interpreters and other additional expenses.

Regulated is the demand by national law in the social laws of the states. The deaf benefit is granted regardless of income or assets.

In contrast to the comparable, nationwide usual blind payment , only five out of sixteen federal states grant deaf benefits, and the amounts and conditions are very different (as of 2014).

Berlin

According to the State Care Allowance Act of Berlin , deaf people can be granted a monthly amount of currently (as of July 1, 2017) 138.94 euros. The condition is that deafness or hearing loss bordering on deafness occurred before the age of 7 (i.e. before full language acquisition). The local social welfare and youth welfare offices in the district in which the person has their main residence are responsible for processing.

In contrast, deaf-blind people receive 1,189 euros per month, from which, if they receive care level 1, an amount of 129 euros and for care levels 2 and 3 168 euros are deducted from the full amount. If you stay in a home for a long time, deaf-blind people receive 594.50 euros per month.

If a person receives benefits from long-term care insurance, these are to be taken into account and lead to the loss of the deaf benefit. In Berlin, the state care allowance is linked to assistance for the blind, which in turn is linked to the pension increases, with the adjustments being made according to the same percentage ratio. There are differently reduced amounts if the person stays in hospitals and nursing homes for a long time.

Brandenburg

In Brandenburg there is a state care allowance law as a voluntary service by the state. The responsible social welfare office of the district or the city is responsible for the application. Right now, those entitled to it receive 82 euros a month. You can apply to the LV to cover the costs of interpreting for important private occasions.

North Rhine-Westphalia

In North Rhine-Westphalia , the deaf benefit can be applied for from the municipal authorities, Social Assistance / Integration Department, or directly from the regional associations of Rhineland and Westphalia-Lippe . They pay out the monthly deaf benefit of 77 euros to the recipients.

Saxony-Anhalt

In Saxony-Anhalt, deaf people are granted a monthly allowance of 41 euros to compensate for additional expenses if they live in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Payment is made when the health and legal requirements are met, but at the earliest from the month of application. The state administration office is responsible for the application .

Saxony

Saxony determines the financial compensation for disadvantages for the deaf via the state blindness benefit law (LBlindG), according to which 130 euros per month are paid to the persons concerned in the event of deafness and a determined degree of disability (GdB) of 100. This does not apply to people who have already received benefits from other social payers, as well as disabled people.
