IC 4030 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Coma Berenices in the northern sky . It is an estimated 313 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is considered a member of the Coma galaxy cluster Abell 1656 .
The galaxies NGC 4894 , NGC 4898 , IC 4033 , IC 4042 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Hermann Kobold on May 9, 1896 .
