The Three Sisters Cones ( English for three sisters cones ) are three lined up and up to 1800 m high volcanic cones on the Antarctic Ross Island . They tower on the southwest slopes of Mount Erebus .
The name goes back to participants in the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
