IC 4012 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is an estimated 326 million light years from the Milky Way and has a disk diameter of about 30,000 ly.

The object was discovered by Hermann Kobold on May 11, 1896 .
