NGC 4893 = IC 4015 is a 14.5 mag bright elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E2? pec? in the constellation of the hounds . It is around 476 million light years away from the Milky Way .
The galaxy, together with the non-NGC object IC 4016 (also called NGC 4893 A ), forms a gravitational double galaxy and was discovered by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest on April 24, 1865 .
