Sépeaux-Saint Romain is a French municipality with 559 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement Sens (until 2017 Auxerre ) and the canton Charny .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the former municipalities of Saint-Romain-le-Preux and Sépeaux , which have since had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .

Sépeaux-Saint Romain is located about 29 kilometers northwest of Auxerre on the Vrin . Sépeaux-Saint Romain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Précy-sur-Vrin in the north, La Celle-Saint-Cyr in the north-east, Béon in the east, Montholon in the east and south-east, La Ferté-Loupière in the south and Charny Orée de Puisaye in the west.
The A6 autoroute runs through the municipality .
