Béon is a French commune in the Yonne department ( Region Bourgogne Franche-Comté ), in the district Sens and in the canton of Joigny . The community has 510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The inhabitants are called Béonnais .

Béon is about 32 kilometers northwest of Auxerre . Béon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Celle-Saint-Cyr in the north and northwest, Cézy in the north and northeast, Chamvres in the east and northeast, Montholon in the south and east and Sépeaux-Saint Romain in the west and southwest.
