Villeblevin is a French commune with 1,865 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . The inhabitants call themselves Villeblevinois .

geography

The 736 hectare parish extends from the left bank of the Yonne River to the first foothills of the Gâtinais countryside . In the north, the place is characterized by the alluvial valley floor of the Yonne. In the last few decades, sand has been extracted here on an area of ​​around 50 hectares. Many bodies of water were left behind. In the south, the region is hilly and connects to the Gâtinais plateau at an altitude of 170 m and then slopes gently towards the Départementstraße RD 606.
