The canton of Pont-sur-Yonne is a French constituency in Arrondissement of Sens , in the Yonne department and in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; its main town is Pont-sur-Yonne . Christian Brière ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Département from 1998 to 2009 . He was followed by Dominique Bourreau (also PS).

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Pont-sur-Yonne included the 16 municipalities of Champigny , Chaumont , Cuy , Évry , Gisy-les-Nobles , Lixy , Michery , Pont-sur-Yonne , Saint-Agnan , Saint -Sérotin , Villeblevin , Villemanoche , Villenavotte , Villeneuve-la-Guyard , Villeperrot and Villethierry . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​192.25 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 8922.
