Sépeaux is a village and a former French community with 381 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (2015 Bourgogne ). It belonged to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Charny (until 2015 canton of Saint-Julien-du-Sault ).
With effect from January 1, 2016, Sépeaux merged with the former municipality of Saint-Romain-le-Preux to form the Commune nouvelle Sépeaux-Saint Romain and has since had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .
