Mendel Markowitsch Chatajewitsch
Mendel Markowitsch Chatajewitsch ( Russian Мендель Маркович Хатаевич ; * 1893 , † October 30, 1937 ) was a high-ranking party official of the CPSU .
Life
Khataevich, a Bolshevik since 1913, was one of the organizers of the struggle to establish Soviet power in the Gomel region . From 1930 he was a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Central Executive Committee of the SU , from 1932 to 1937 a member of the Politburo of the KPU (B) . In October 1937 he fell victim to the Stalin purges .
