The Annual of the British School at Athens
The Annual of the British School at Athens (abbreviated ABSA or BSA ) is the annual magazine of the British School at Athens .
The British School , founded in 1886, has published the magazine since 1894. 111 volumes had been published by 2016. The contributions, all of which are peer-reviewed , cover a wide range of Greek studies. They are dedicated to all areas of archaeological and ancient studies research , provided that they are related to Greek history in the broadest sense. So the contributions are not limited to today's Greece, but include the whole area of ancient Greek culture and its predecessors. Points of contact with neighboring peoples and relationships with them are also included. The ISSN for the print area is 0068-2454, for the online edition it is 2045-2403.
In addition, supplement volumes are published at regular intervals, which mostly serve to summarize and conclude the presentation of the results of one's own research or to publish self-contained research complexes by British ancient scholars. In 2009, Supplementum 45 was published.
