The Cardinals

The Cardinals are an American rock 'n' roll - band consisting of Ryan Adams (guitar, vocals, piano), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Brad Pemberton (drums), Jon Graboff (pedal steal Guitar ) and Chris Feinstein (bass). They were initially founded by Ryan Adams as his band in 2004, then still consisting of Brad Pemberton, Catherine Popper (bass), JP Bowersock (guitar) and Cindy Cashdollar (pedal steel guitar).

The first album under the name was "Cold Roses" (2005), which contains country, bluegrass and rock'n'roll-heavy songs. This was followed by the much more country-heavy "Jacksonville City Nights" (2005) and in 2007 the EP "Follow the Lights" under the same name.

The Cardinals can also be heard on "Easy Tiger" (2007), which was released under the stage name 'Ryan Adams'. At the end of October 2008 the album "Cardinology" was released under the name Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, which contains 12 songs.

Due to an inner ear disease, Ryan Adams decided to leave his band after the final show on March 20, 2009.

Chris Feinstein passed away on December 14, 2009 at the age of 42 in New York City .
