The Courteeners are a four-piece indie rock band from the Greater Manchester area .
Band history
The head of the band is singer and songwriter Liam Fray. First he was touring Manchester as a solo musician, before he formed a band in 2006 with three friends who had known each other from their childhood in Middleton.
With their rock music reminiscent of Oasis or the Libertines , they were able to celebrate success very quickly.
