The Criminal Minds are a Britcore crew. At the beginning of the 90s, they became known for their hard beats and excessive sampling of music and speech fragments from various films. After TCM had reneged on hip-hop for a while , they released several tracks in 2001 and played some gigs in Switzerland and Hamburg, among others.
The Hamburg hip-hop magazine Backspin once called them "the uncrowned kings of UK hardcore hip-hop", that is to say of Britcore .
