The Food Industry Students European Council

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Food Industry Students European Council (FISEC) is an international association of students studying food-related courses at European universities.

One of the aims of the association is to promote contact between students of food-related courses and universities and companies in the food industry. These goals are pursued through the annual General Assembly and Food Convention events . These events serve to deepen the international contact between the students and to get to know the food-related industry of the host country, including through company tours. The General Assembly also takes into account the organizational requirements of an international association.

At the local level there are so-called Local FISEC Committees (LFCs) at the individual universities , which pursue the goals of the association at the local level, for example by creating internship databases or organizing company tours . LFCs currently exist in Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Spain, France, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Bulgaria and Bosnia-Herzegovina. In Germany there are LFCs in Berlin and Munich.
