description

The asymmetrical villa is located in the south of North Berwick. Stylistically it shows elements of the Scottish Neo-Renaissance , but also of the Arts and Crafts movement . With the exception of the corner stones and borders, the facades are plastered with Harl . The entrance area in a corner of the building on the south-facing front is striking. It is designed with a canopy in neo-renaissance style with richly ornamented gable and partly colored stained glass windows. On the opposite north side, also in a corner of the building, a tower with a conical roof and fluted corbels stands out. Another is located on the south side of the 1904 south wing. Furthermore, this part of the building is designed with a volute gable with a sundial and ox-eye . A square tower with battlements on the north side forms the highest part of the villa.
