The newspaper The Guardian was a short-lived publication that appeared in London 1713th The Guardian was founded by Richard Steele . Important collaborators were Joseph Addison , Thomas Tickle and Ambrose Philips . Steele and Addison had previously worked together on the Spectator and Tatler . All of these publications have nothing to do with the British print media of the same name, which are still published.
