The History Press
The History Press is a British publisher based in Stroud with offices in Germany, Ireland, France, the United States and Belgium. The publishing house, which specializes in local and special historical literature such as military history , sports history , crime history and genealogy , was founded in 2007 and, with more than 500 new publications per year, is the largest in this area in the country.
The origins of the house go back to several small publishers and the NPI Media Group from the 1970s. Imprints are Spellmount, Pitkin, Phillimore and The Mystery Press.
