In the third of seven seasons, the jury consisted of TV chefs Alexander Herrmann, Frank Rosin, Tim Mälzer and newcomer Cornelia Poletto. Season 3 was won by Kristof Mulack from Tim Mälzer's team.
The first round comprised a total of 28 candidates in the television broadcast. Everyone had 60 minutes to prepare a spoon, and 50 euros were made available for each purchase. After the blind tasting , each of the four jurors decided whether they would like to include the respective participant in their team. If more than one juror decided on a candidate, he was allowed to choose a team. After the teams of Frank Rosin, Cornelia Poletto and Tim Mälzer were complete, the remaining three candidates competed at the same time. Alexander Herrmann then chose his favorite to complete the final team.
