The West is a browser game released in April 2008 by the InnoGames company . In the role-playing game set up in the Wild West , players can start a career as a worker, adventurer, duelist or soldier. They develop their skills over the course of the game through work, duels, fights and various series of tasks ("quests"). The game, which is offered in several languages, is distributed over independent virtual worlds with over 17 million active players in 19 language versions.
The game
There is no official game goal, but the ranking is for the best cities and individual players. As high as possible in the ranking list is therefore seen by many players as their personal goal in addition to reaching the highest level.
In the virtual world , every player starts with fairly simple tasks that can be completed quickly. As soon as he reaches experience level 10, the player can choose a character class . The characters earn money and experience through the various quest series . The latter is used to improve skills in the categories of strength, dexterity, agility and charisma. With the virtual money they earn, players can buy various items that will improve their skills in shopping areas in the wild west cities. In addition to the quest series, classic work and duels also offer the chance to earn money and experience.
The players can join forces in cities. In addition to direct playful advantages such as city-owned hotels for relaxation and lower purchase prices, this also offers the possibility of forming alliances . The game is constantly being expanded with new versions. As one of the most important innovations with the update 1.21 forts were integrated into the game. These are conquered and defended by allied city associations. Forts bring various in-game benefits such as resource storage and faster recovery. With the update to version 1.30, pants and belts have been integrated into the game and many new works are offered.
The game was updated to version 2.118 on February 10, 2020. The graphics, the game map and a lot of adventures have been recreated since the one version.
The game principle has not changed since 2008, but has been expanded to include numerous options. The balancing of battles and adventures between premium and non-premium players leads to lively discussions between the community and the operator InnoGames.
