Theater in the fishing port
The Theater im Fischereihafen (TiF) is a theater in Bremerhaven with the address Am Schaufenster 6.
The theater was set up at the old fishing port in the "Forum Fischbahnhof" and opened on May 10, 1996. The 14 rows of spectators with a total of 300 seats are arranged in an ascending order like in a cinema. If the ground-level stage space is used, a play area of a maximum of 15 × 10 meters and a height of 8 meters is available.
The establishment of a theater in the former Fischpackhalle IV was controversial in advance; the space utilization is now around 90%. Around 130 performances are given each year to around 20,000 spectators. Among other things, the Bremerhaven improvisation theater "Instant Impro" plays regularly in the TiF; there are also regular events for children. The theater does not maintain its own ensemble, but only presents guest performances.
