Theban War
Theban War denotes:
- in the history of ancient Greece the war between Thebes and Sparta (also known as the "Spartan-Theban War"), the beginning and end of which are marked by the following two main battles:
- Battle of Leuctra (371 BC)
- Second Battle of Mantineia (362 BC)
- In Greek mythology, the two wars within the legends surrounding the ruling house of Thebes :
