The Theodor Schwann Monument is a seated image made of bronze on a solid granite base . It is located at the Alte Post in Neuss and is reminiscent of Theodor Schwann (1810–1882), professor of anatomy and founder of cell theory. It was created in 1908 by the Düsseldorf sculptor Josef Hammerschmidt (1873-1926) and unveiled on the Neusser Promenade on June 6, 1909. The memorial was comprehensively cleaned in 2004 by the Neuss community foundation.
