Theophil Weber

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert Theophil Weber was (probably born in 1852; died after 1891) a possibly Swiss author, editor, publisher in Leipzig. As evidenced by the Leipzig address books, he lived in Leipzig from 1888 as “Authorized Officer of L. Weber” (specialist publisher for sports literature), previously probably in Frankfurt am Main.

As editor of the cycling newspaper Das Stahlrad , he is a central figure in the founding history of the Saxon Cyclists' Association in 1891 in connection with a conflict with Carl Hindenburg , the then President of the German Cyclists Association .

A Theophil Weber address book publisher in Leipzig is proven for 1920.
