Thing place

A thing place or place is called:

  • historical places where people and court assemblies were held according to the old Germanic law, see Thing
  • Open-air theater built in the time of National Socialism, see Thingplatz (Thingbewegung) (with a complete list of the approx. 40 Thingstätten)
  • urban or village squares, especially in northern Germany, such as the Thingplatz in Flensburg .
