Thrax (potter)
Thrax was a Greek potter who worked in the mid-6th century BC. In Athens . The name indicates a possible origin from Thrace .
He is only known by his signature on a ribbon bowl in Taranto, Museo Nazionale IG 6222. He is one of the minor masters . It shows a scene with a hoplite and a team of four and could possibly represent an apobatism race . Very similar representations can be found on Hermogenes' vases .
