Ticket Granting Ticket

The Ticket Granting Ticket (abbreviated TGT ., Eng about qualification certificate-grantors qualification certificate similar to a password, but safer -) - a small file, which is the access granted to a data exchange.

The TGT is considered to be more secure because it contains, among other things, the IP address of the client, the validity period of the TGT and the previously generated session key in encrypted form so that a man-in-the-middle attack is prevented .

The TGT is an essential part of the Kerberos system for data path security.

The TGT is issued by the Key Distribution Center (KDC, Key Issuing Center ) for registered and identified (authenticated) users.
