The Stendal Zoo is located in the Stadtsee district of Stendal .

The Stendaler Tiergarten was opened in 1934 and destroyed by American bombers in 1944. Reconstruction began in 1952. He currently has 460 animals in 75 species. The size of the entire facility is about six hectares.
