Tiger spleen: computed tomography arterial phase, coronary reconstruction

The term tiger spleen is used in X-ray diagnostics in computer tomography and describes the spotty, marbled representation of the spleen in the arterial contrast medium phase . This is not a pathological finding. Rather, the image is created by the different rapid flooding of the contrast agent in the pulp and trabecular structure of the spleen.
