Tiridates II
Tiridates II was a Parthian usurper who died around 30 BC. Chr. To 25 v. Ruled parts of the empire. He managed to put the reigning King Phraates IV to flight, but Tiridates II was finally defeated by Phraates IV and had to flee to Syria . But he was able to capture a son of Phraates IV, whom he handed over to the Romans . With Roman help Tiridates II succeeded in 26 BC To conquer parts of Mesopotamia . In Babylonia he even minted his own coins. But in the following year he was finally defeated.
