Tyrolean State Audit Office
The Tyrolean State Audit Office (LRH Tirol ) is a control body of the Tyrolean state parliament . The Tyrolean State Audit Office was founded on March 1, 2003 as the successor to the State Control Office.
tasks
The Tyrolean State Audit Office examines the management, i.e. the financially effective housekeeping , of the State of Tyrol and the Tyrolean communities with less than 10,000 inhabitants. Foundations, funds and institutions that are administered by state or municipal bodies, as well as companies that are controlled by the state or the municipalities, also fall within its audit responsibility.
The State Audit Office conducts the audits on its own initiative (initiative audit). However, at the request of the Tyrolean Parliament, it must carry out special audits.

The Tyrolean State Audit Office is headed by the director. He is elected for 12 years by the Tyrolean Parliament.
The Tyrolean State Audit Office had 14 employees as of January 1, 2020 and a budget of around € 1.45 million in 2020.
The Tyrolean State Audit Office has been a member of EURORAI , the European organization of regional external institutions for the control of public finances , since 2005 . State Audit Office Director Krismer has been a deputy member of the Vice President in the EURORAI Presidium since 2016.
