Tokyo Motor Show 2007

The Tokyo Motor Show is an important motor show in Japan .

The fair is held every one to two years, beginning in 1954 in Hibiya Park in Tokyo's Chiyoda district . From 1989 to 2009 it did not take place in Tokyo, but at the Makuhari Messe exhibition center in Chiba . In 2011, however, she returned to Tokyo to the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center .

At the debut, 254 exhibitors presented a total of 267 vehicles to the 547,000 visitors. The situation of Japanese industry at that time was still characterized by the aftermath of the Second World War , which set the focus of the fair on commercial vehicles , buses , tricycles and the like. This trend continued for several years. The open-air event was characterized by muddy streets and blown tents.

In 2005, 239 exhibitors presented a total of 612 vehicles to the 1,512,100 visitors. The exhibition area has increased almost tenfold in 50 years.
