Tolino Shine 3
The Tolino Shine 3 is an e-book reader from the Tolino Alliance, which was presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2018 . It is the first device in the Tolino series without a “home button”; instead, a swipe gesture is used to return to the main screen. This makes the on / off switch the only hardware switch on the device. The Tolino Shine 3 is identical to the Kobo Clara HD . It also masters the technology called "smartLight" for automatic adjustment of the color temperature according to the time of day, with which only the more expensive Tolino vision 4 HD and Tolino epos were previously equipped.
At the time of the product launch, the Tolino Shine 3 was positioned as a mid-range model above the entry-level Tolino Page and below the Tolino vision 4 HD ; Compared to the latter, the Shine 3 lacks "water protection" and "tap2flip" (turning the page by knocking on the back of the device).
