Vocational school teacher Max Deisenhofer has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since November 5, 2018.

Maximilian Deisenhofer (born March 13, 1987 in Krumbach (Swabia) ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). He has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since November 5, 2018, where he is a member of the Committee for Education and Culture, the Media Council and the State Sports Advisory Board.

Life

Max Deisenhofer grew up in Krumbacher Niederraunau district, in 2006 he graduated from the Simpert Kraemer school his high school . Afterwards he studied at the University of Augsburg teaching qualification for grammar school for the subjects English, history and social studies. The Swabian spent the 2009/2010 school year as an "assistant teacher" in Stockport , England . After the clerkship at the high school Donauwörth and Friedberg (Bavaria) Max Deisenhofer graduated in 2016 his second state exam and then worked as a teacher at the Vocational School Center Gunzburg . He was active as a handball player at TSV Niederraunau for over 20 years , including ten years in the men's division as captain in both the regional league and the Bavarian league . Max Deisenhofer is Protestant and married.

Political career

In 2005, Max Deisenhofer joined the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party due to energy policy (the Gundremmingen nuclear power station is in his home district) and environmental policy . In 2011 he was elected to the district board of the Günzburg Greens and was district chairman of the Greens Swabia from 2014 to 2018 . In the district of Günzburg , Deisenhofer moved into the district council for the first time in 2014 at the age of 27.

In the state election in Bavaria on October 14, 2018 , Deisenhofer achieved the third-best overall vote result on the list of Greens in the Schwaben constituency and was thus elected as a member of the Bavarian state parliament. He sits on the Committee for Education and Culture, is spokesman for sport, media, digital and vocational education on the part of the parliamentary group and is also a member of the media council and the state sports advisory board.

On March 15, 2020, Max Deisenhofer ran as district administrator in the Günzburg district, where he came second with 26.6 percent of the vote. The successor to Hubert Hafner, who resigned after 24 years in office, was the CSU politician Hans Reichhart, who had stepped down as Transport Minister.
