Toni Stock

Anton "Toni" Stock was a German fencer .

Career

Toni Stock came from Nuremberg. Because he was interested in fencing, he became a member of the Fechtring Nürnberg . He chose foil fencing as a fencing discipline. With his club he fought in both individual and team fencing. In 1960 he was third in the foil singles at the German fencing championships and won a bronze medal. In the same year he was nominated for the German fencing team for the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome . In this competition, the German team achieved third place and thus won the bronze medal. Since stick was not used, it received no medal according to the IOC statutes.

For this success, he and his teammates were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on December 9, 1960 .
