Klex (for the 5th and 6th grades) and Topic (for the 7th and 8th grades) appeared fortnightly (20 times in the school year) and differed only in the cover story and an economic section for the older ones. They were the magazines for members of the Austrian Youth Book Club.
From September 1990 appeared Klex-Topic as a monthly magazine for the 7th and 8th grade, since the school year 1997/98 there again bears its original name Topic .
Topic has been published jointly with SOS Children's Villages Austria and WWF Austria since the 2019/20 school year .
