Torsten Prenter

Torsten Prenter (* 1968 in Bingen am Rhein , Germany) is a television and media manager.

life and career

He began his career in the media industry in 1993 as a senior product manager at RTL Gruppe IP's marketer. Prenter developed the topics of program planning and trends. That led him to RTL II in 1996. Until 2005, he held the position of head of strategic program planning, where he was responsible for purchasing and commissioning programs such as “Stargate”, “Big Brother”, “Popstars” or the knowledge magazine “Welt der Wunder “helped the station to become a success. Then he received the offer to co-found the private broadcaster 3+ in Zurich. Thanks to its programming strategy, the station achieved market shares of around 5% of the advertising-relevant target group after the first four years. Torsten Prenter, who played a key role in founding the first Swiss private broadcaster, is now the broadcaster's vice-president.

Prenter is married and has two children.
