Toynbee Prize

The Toynbee Prize (English Toynbee Prize) is an award named after Arnold J. Toynbee , which has been awarded every two years by the Toynbee Prize Foundation since 1987.

According to the Toynbee Prize Foundation, this prize is intended to advance the development of the social sciences , in particular to promote the historical view of modern human society and its problems. The award is presented at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association . In the years of the award ceremony, it is common for the award winner to give a lecture in which he presents his work.
