Tracks Per Inch

Tracks Per Inch ( Engl. : Tracks per inch ), short- tpi , is a unit of the track density, the z. B. is used in information technology. This indicates the number of (data) tracks per inch on a data carrier , e.g. B. 96 tpi disks but also sound carriers (see, for example, wax roller (wax cylinder) ).
