A trac tractor is a type of agricultural tractor that is characterized by four wheels of the same size, all-wheel drive and three attachment areas for implements. In contrast to standard tractors, a (half) frame construction is usually used instead of the frameless block construction . They differ from articulated tractors in that the vehicle frame is completely rigid and the wheels are turned for steering. Trac tractors have the advantage over standard tractors that the mounting spaces can be better utilized and are therefore more versatile. The mounting of attachments on the tractor in the front and middle mounting space has become more important thanks to the Trac tractor. Furthermore, Trac tractors are better suited as towing vehicles because they have a better axle load distribution compared to standard tractors and because of the equally large wheels they tend to rear less. The disadvantage of the tractor is the greater limitation of the field of vision.
