Traders is the name of a Swiss television - game show , which on 20 October 2010 at the Swiss television first went on the air.

The broadcast format is produced by Endemol and broadcast on SF 1 instead of the discontinued program " Deal or No Deal " . The show is moderated by Roman Kilchsperger .

Game flow

The candidate has 10 questions to answer. Every question has a higher value. The first is only worth 100 francs , the tenth question 10,000 francs. Finally, the candidate can quadruple the money he has earned by asking an additional question. There is no choice for the questions like A, B, C or 1,2,3. However, there can also be several correct answers, for example to the question: "We are looking for a prime number between 100 and 120". If the candidate doesn't know the answer, he can call on the traders to help. If the candidate cannot answer all 10 questions, he is eliminated, so you cannot drop out of the game and take the money with you. In addition, the candidate has to log in himself with a buzzer .

Monetary levels

The questions have the following values:

  • 1. Question 100 CHF
  • 2. Question 500 CHF
  • 3. Question 1000 CHF
  • 4. Question 1500 CHF
  • 5th question 2000 CHF
  • 6. Question 2500 CHF
  • 7. Question 3000 CHF
  • 8. Question 4000 CHF
  • 9. Question 6000 CHF
  • 10. Question CHF 10,000

If a candidate can answer all questions on his own, he will receive CHF 30,600.

After the ten questions, a bonus question can be played, with which you can quadruple the money, but cannot use a trader. If the answer is wrong, however, you lose the money you have earned. As a result, you can achieve a maximum profit of CHF 122,400.

Traders

The 50 traders sit in their own stands. Your goal is to take as much money as possible from the candidate. If the candidate does not know the answer, he can call the traders. Then all 50 traders raise their hands even if they don't know the answer. The candidate can choose two traders who introduce themselves. With their age, name and occupation, traders must not lie. The two traders have 10 seconds after the introduction to convince the candidate. During this time, the trader can even lie. Afterwards the candidate chooses one of the two. The trader now has the opportunity to negotiate as much money as possible for himself at the gaming desk. However, the amount must not be higher than the value of the question, so a trader can take a maximum of 100 francs from the first question. However, they only have 20 seconds. If they can come to an agreement with a handshake, the trader gets the money and has to give an answer, but as in the recommendation round he can give any answer. However, the candidate does not necessarily have to take this bought answer. If there is no handshake in the 20 seconds, the trader goes back to his place and the candidate has to answer the question himself. If the trader gives a correct answer, he may be reelected back to his seat and again later. If he gives the wrong answer, he has to leave, but he can keep the money.

joker

The candidate has two jokers with which he can reduce the selection of traders. If a joker is placed, only those traders who believe they know the correct answer are allowed to participate. If the trader answers the question incorrectly anyway, he loses the money he has negotiated and has to leave the studio.

In the first broadcasts, the traders were only reduced with a suitable question for the quiz question, but after a few broadcasts the concept of the joker was changed to the current rule.
