Training near the job

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Training near the job is a method of organized further qualification. Typical measures are workshops, project groups and learning facilities, in which managers and young managers usually take part. Often, not only the qualification process is in the foreground of a measure, but also a concrete problem solution and the development of improvement possibilities for the work area.

The near-the-job method combines properties of the methods on the job and off the job in itself. In contrast to on-the-job training, the learning process does not take place in the functional field at the workplace. By decoupling from the immediate work activity, a better systematization of the learning process and at the same time an improved didactic reflection. In contrast to off-the-job training , there is still a thematic continuation of the workplace and its problems, so that good transfer opportunities between theory and practice are possible for the learner.
